An Ordinance further to amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 29 of 2000).

Whereas the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and the Karnataka Legislative Council are not in session and the Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka is satisfied that the circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action to promulgate the Ordinance for the purposes hereinafter appearing;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.—(1) This Ordinance may be called the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of ## Section 6.—In the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 29 of 2000), in section 6, in the first proviso, for the words and figures “Rs. 50.00 Lakhs”, the words and figures “Rs. 1.00 crore”, shall be substituted.
