Legalspace.ai (“Legalspace,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides legal technology services, including artificial intelligence technologies (“AI Services”), websites, applications, functionality, and other services made available through Legalspace (collectively, the “Legalspace Services” or “Services”). Legalspace is operated by Legalspace.ai, having its registered office at TROOCREATIVE MEDIA PRIVATE LIMITED.
By accessing, registering for, subscribing to, or otherwise using any of the Legalspace Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a business, law firm, legal department, or other organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Legalspace requires you to create an account by filling out a registration form and choosing a user ID and password before you can access and use the services. You acknowledge that, in creating an account with Legalspace, you will: (a) provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as requested by the registration form provided by the Legalspace Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Registration Data"); and (b) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to ensure that it remains true, accurate, current, and complete. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and prevent you from using the Legalspace Services (or any portion thereof) in the future if you provide any information that is false, inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete, or if we have reason to believe that the information is accurate, out of date, or incomplete.
It is not permitted for any third party to utilize the Legalspace Services on your behalf. You bear all responsibility for any actions taken under your account, including keeping your user ID and password private. You consent to report any unauthorized use of your account or other security violation to Legalspace very away. Legalspace disclaims all liability for any loss or harm resulting from any unauthorized use of your account. By giving us your email address, you consent to receive any necessary notifications there.
(a) Legalspace grants you and your Authorized Users (described below), subject to your compliance with these Terms, the nonexclusive, nontransferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right to use and access the Services in accordance with the documentation, all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, rules, and regulations, and only for your internal business purposes. You must be at least eighteen to utilize our service. You affirm and guarantee that you are of legal age to consent to these terms and that you have the mental capacity to do so.
(b) You consent to refrain from doing any of the following, and to help, permit, or enable any third party to perform any of the following, unless a limitation is made illegally.
- Use any robot, crawler, scraper, data mining tool, data collection or extraction tool, or any other automated means to access, collect, copy, or record the Services; - disassemble, reverse engineer, decode, or decompile any portion of the Services;
- Copying, renting, leasing, selling, lending, transferring, assigning, sublicensing, reselling, distributing, changing, creating derivative works from, or renting, leasing, any portion of the Services or our Intellectual Property (as defined below);
- Utilize the Services in any way that could affect (i) our servers' reliability, (ii) how well the Services function or how any User uses them, or (iii) how other apps that use the Services behave;
- Use the Services in any way or for any purpose that can (i) incite or encourage the violation of any applicable law, regulation, legal requirement, contractual obligation, or right of any person, including but not limited to rights of privacy, intellectual property, or personality; (ii) be fraudulent, false, deceptive, or defamatory; (iii) incite hatred, violence, or harm against any individual or group; or (iv) otherwise be harmful or -m - - - - objectionable (in our sole discretion) to us, our providers, our suppliers, our users, or any other third party;
- Use or display the Services against us, to create rival goods or services, for benchmarking or competitive analysis of the Services, or in any other way that would be detrimental to us;
- Make an effort to tamper with, undermine the security or integrity of the system, or decode any communications to or from the servers hosting the Services;
- Utilize the Services to distribute worms, viruses, or other software agents;
- Use the Services for any intrusive or fraudulent purpose, pretend to be someone else, misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity, conceal or try to conceal your identity;
– Distribute passwords or log-in credentials for the Services, or do any other action that gets in the way of any security measures we might put in place to limit access to the Services or impose usage restrictions; or
- Use our name or the Services to identify us or in any way that can reasonably be interpreted as endorsing, associating with, or sponsoring us or you (or a third party) without getting our prior, in-writing authorization.
The Legalspace services are provided as tools to assist users with legal research, drafting, document review, case management, and other legal workflows. The information, documents, suggestions, summaries, responses, and other outputs made available through the Services are intended to support legal work and should not be treated as legal advice. Your use of Legalspace does not create a lawyer-client, attorney-client, adviser-client, or other professional relationship between you and Legalspace.
Certain Legalspace Services use artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to generate or assist with responses, research, summaries, drafts, document analysis, and other outputs. Due to the nature of these technologies, such outputs may occasionally contain errors, omissions, incomplete information, or interpretations that may not be appropriate for a particular legal matter. Users are responsible for reviewing and independently verifying any information, citations, legal authorities, documents, or AI-generated outputs before relying on or using them for professional, legal, business, academic, or other purposes.
Legalspace is designed to assist legal professionals and other authorized users and is not intended to replace professional judgment. Lawyers, law firms, legal departments, and other professionals using the Services remain solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, court rules, professional standards, confidentiality obligations, ethical requirements, and duties owed to their clients or organizations. Any decision, advice, filing, submission, communication, or other action taken based on information obtained through the Services remains the responsibility of the user.
Although Legalspace takes reasonable measures to maintain the quality, accuracy, and availability of its Services and legal information, we do not warrant that the Services or their contents will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every particular purpose or legal matter. Laws, regulations, judgments, notifications, and other legal materials may change, be amended, overturned, or interpreted differently over time. Users should therefore confirm that the information relied upon is current and applicable to their specific circumstances.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Legalspace Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Legalspace makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, that use of the Services will produce any particular legal, commercial, procedural, or other outcome. Users assume responsibility for determining whether the Services and any outputs generated through them are appropriate for their intended use.
A non-transferable, non-exclusive license (the "License") to use the information database containing data and, where applicable, the facsimile of the published pages is granted to Legalspace, the party subscribing to the Service (the "Licensee"), upon payment of the entire license fee.
You permit us to share your payment details with third parties when you start a payment transaction so that we can finish it and charge your payment method in Indian Rupees.
Refunds for the payment charge are not available. Any taxes, fees, and charges that are currently in effect or may be levied in the future belong to the user. The subscription is provided with the restrictions as follows: (a) Conducting research or study related to academia or education; (b) Giving students academic or educational guidance; and (c) Conducting legal research and study related to a legitimate profession or vocation only ("Permitted Purposes"). (d) drafting the document and using it as needed (e) uploading the documents to make a legal document out of them (f) utilizing the AI conversation tool (g) adding annotations under the notes tab (h) Getting our iPad and tablet application and using it.
You retain your rights in the documents, prompts, queries, case information, client information, files, instructions, data, and other materials that you upload, submit, store, or otherwise provide through the Services. You are responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and lawful authority to submit and process such User Content through Legalspace.
Legalspace may process User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, maintain, secure, and support the Services and as otherwise described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Certain Services may generate drafts, summaries, research responses, comparisons, suggestions, analyses, or other materials based on your instructions or User Content (“AI-Generated Outputs”). Subject to applicable law, these Terms, and any third-party rights, you may use such AI-Generated Outputs for your permitted professional or business purposes.
Due to the nature of artificial intelligence technologies, similar or identical outputs may be generated for different users, particularly where similar instructions, commonly available information, or legal concepts are involved. Legalspace does not represent or warrant that any AI-Generated Output will be unique or eligible for intellectual property protection.
The parties understand and agree that certain sensitive information (referred to as "Confidential Information") of one party (referred to as the "Disclosing Party") may be accessible to each other (the "Receiving Party"). "Confidential Information" refers to any information that the disclosing party provides to the receiving party under this agreement that is (i) proprietary and/or non-public information about the business operations of the disclosing party, its subsidiaries, and its affiliates, including any financial, pricing, or business plan information; (ii) the terms of any subscription agreement; and/or (iii) any other information that the disclosing party designates as confidential.
Services provided by Legalspace are likewise considered Confidential Information, and Drafts and Reports provided by Users are also considered Confidential Information. Non-confidential information excludes any information that: (a) was already publicly known or accessible at the time of disclosure; (b) was lawfully disclosed to the receiving party by a third party; or (c) was already in the receiving party's possession without restriction prior to the date of receipt from the disclosing party, or (d) independently developed by the receiving party without referring to or using the confidential information of the disclosing party; provided, however, that in each case, the receiving party did not obtain such information as a result of any unlawful, unethical, or unapproved act or omission, or as a result of a breach of this agreement or of any other duty owed to the disclosing party, whether legal, ethical, or fiduciary.
Under no circumstances may the Receiving Party use the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information for purposes other than those allowed under this Agreement;(2) disclose, distribute, or disseminate the Confidential Information to any third party except as permitted by this Agreement or to the extent required to comply with applicable law; and(3) not use the Confidential Information for any purpose other than those permitted under this Agreement.
The Publisher may terminate the License at their sole discretion if:
The Licensee will instantly lose all rights and licenses with regard to the Database or any portion of it upon termination of the License.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Legalspace arising out of or relating to your use of the Services or these Terms, whether arising in contract, tort, negligence, statute, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total subscription fees actually paid by you to Legalspace during the one (1) month immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
By using our AI creation tool or the "Browse Law" page, the user accepts that the information is probabilistic and is purely the result of a machine learning model. Since it is relevant to your use case, it should be assessed for accuracy, possibly with the help of a human reviewer of this type of output. When using AI services, you and your end users are in charge of all the choices you make, suggestions you make, actions you take, and inactions you make.
Links to third-party websites, content providers, advertising, services, special offers, and other events or activities that are not under our ownership or control may appear on the Legalspace Services. Regarding any of these external websites, content, goods, or services, we neither support nor take any liability. You acknowledge and agree that using a third-party website that you find through Legalspace Services is at your own risk and is not subject to our privacy policy or these terms. You ought to study third-party websites' privacy policies carefully before visiting any of them. Any third-party website's security, privacy, or content are not our concern.
Your Subscription(s) is cancelable at any moment, however, you will still be responsible for the Subscription Fees until the end of the Subscription term. When your subscription is about to renew, "We" will let you know. If you would like to cancel, please email support@legalspace.ai. To end your subscription for the duration, you can also stop the automatic payment. Even after the Subscription Term expires, you will still be able to access the Services.
India's legal system shall apply to the interpretation and application of this End User Agreement and its Terms & Conditions.
Any claims or disputes originating from or connected to these Terms and Conditions and this End User License Agreement will only be brought before Gujarat, India's courts, forums, or tribunals.
By being forbearing or delaying the execution of these terms and conditions, the Publisher / Licensor(s) shall not be regarded to have waived any of their rights or any of their provisions. Their ability to later enforce those rights or provisions will not be affected by such delay or forbearance.
These terms and conditions could change at any time without notice. It is recommended that you periodically examine the most recent version of the End User License Agreement Terms & Conditions.
